The Open Enrollment Period for Plan Year 2024 ends on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
All Marketplace applications should be submitted by January 16 for Plan Year 2024 coverage. Consumers who change plans or enroll in coverage between December 16, 2023, and January 16, 2024, will have an effective coverage date of February 1, 2024. After January 16, consumers will only be able to enroll in or change plans for Plan Year 2024 if a change in circumstance qualifies them for a Special Enrollment Period.
We encourage you to work with your clients to ensure their application information is up to date, and to make an active plan selection — and to confirm your National Producer Number (NPN) is part of their enrollment.
Additionally, make sure you’re following the consumer consent and eligibility attestation requirements to ensure you’re working compliantly with the Marketplace and getting consumers into the plans that work best for their needs.
We appreciate all you’ve done this Open Enrollment period to get consumers affordable and comprehensive coverage!
